Pazzia Caffe and Trattoria

Right off the bat, my wife and I experienced friendly and personable staff who we could tell has a passion for their product. The atmosphere was clean, simple, and cozy. The dinner menu had the right balance of good variety without seeming overbearing, and the wine menu too. We said that we planned on sharing pasta and a pizza; they assiduously split the pasta onto two plates for us, which was a nice touch, and continued to provide excellent service throughout our meal. Dessert was great, and billing was timely.

I want to give Pazzia a horrible review so nobody will go there...Unfortunately, y'all will see through my façade and will go there.So. Pazzia is amazing!Delicious Italian food at a reasonable price. I love coming here!!

My favorite Italian in the city! The owner is from Italy. He’s super nice and inviting. Love the atmosphere. My friend who has been going here for over 7 years introduced me to this spot.

I love this place ! I went to a medical conference held at a hotel near there a few years ago and happened upon it. I am of italian heritage and visit my family often. When dining there, I’d close my eyes and for a moment I felt that I was back in Italia once again. I think I went back every single night of my stay ! Buonissimo!!!

After a 15 hour flight , the place didn’t disappoint! Amazing wild boar rigatoni, complemented by a glass of red from Napa. Authentic Italian fare.Thanks

In my 31 years of living and all my travels I have never had amazing Italian food like this place, I recommend to any and everyone to try it out. Friendly staff, managers, and cooks. Positively one of the best places in San Francisco, wish I could pocket them back to Atlanta.

family owned and operated with real Italian pride and hospitality. excellent home made pastas (one of the best in the city). limited but excellent selection of wines to pair with the food. the best part is the price - so much lower than many Italian restaurants of this caliber in the city.

The cocktails here are really good! Since they don't take resos for parties of less than 6, make sure you come by 6pm so you don't have to wait too long. Service is efficient and our waitress was very personable and friendly. Hostesses can definitely be friendlier...

Huge thin crust pizzas, nice and doughy and topped generously. I love that the pizzas are substantial, unlike the dainty little pies you get at Beretta or Delfina. The funghi and sausage was amazing, even better than I remember.The highlights of the night were the clam pasta, with perfectly al dente pasta, and the rich, fresh burrata and procuitto appetizer. So refreshing and delicious.Wasn't particularly impressed with the wine, but can't complain because prices weren't bad - they offer a house wine for $30, and the cabernet sauvignon we ordered was $45.We ended the night with an extra creamy tiramisu stacked high, and a carmel flan (which I would pass on). I am definitely putting Pazzia into the usual rotation - can't wait to return!

Kgood place. Great staff. Solid drinks. I highly recommend this place for any pesto fans. No no... Don't argue. DO IT! And if you don't like it.... You're wrong. Just in general about life. Deal.

It's delicious but not 5 star delicious. Food comes out in weird orders. Some foods were missing or cold or low in flavor

I've been to Pazzia over a dozen times already. It is my "go to" Italian restaurant whenever I'm in San Francisco for business (which happens quite frequently). Never failed me. Always fresh produces, and great dishes. I've already taken there colleagues, customers, and even my wife, and everybody was happy. Some food tips - the Burrata starter is just spectacular. Don't miss out. And their Lasagna is great (Though really, everything I tried was great).

I had made a reservation and when we arrived the waiter couldn’t find it and there was much commotion about it. The food is fantastic. I pride myself on making a fantastic meatball but the meatballs here beat mine hands down. Not stuffed with bread crumbs, full of flavor and a fantastic sauce. After dinner my work companion got up to use the bathroom and the manager came over and told me he had left the restaurant and they needed my table. I told him in fact he had not left and was in the men’s room and he and the waiter claimed he was gone, he was not in the bathroom and could they please have the table. It was all very stressful and embarrassing as my co-worker was in the bathroom which was confirmed when said manager and waiter went and banged on the door. I get it - you want to seat people quickly but you guys need to calm down. Although everyone apologized there really was zero reason for the drama.

Amazing and super fun

Very neat and convenient place. They serve generous meals and for affordable prices. We enjoyed the menu very much and the staff were very welcoming and informative. Recommended.

Super friendly owners. Food is fantastic. Would highly recommend stopping in.

First the good. Eñergetic staff eager to please. Ownership deeply involved. Down side: service was a little late. Bread and olive oil was awesome. The sauce with the lasagna separated because of to much heat. Marsala was good. Bottom line is they try hard but could step it up just a touch. Possibly hire another wait staff or two might help.

What a find! We stumbled upon this. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, and a fantastic staff. We felt welcomed and the place was packed on a Wednesday.

Great Italian food in San Francisco!

Truly delicious food and an incredibly friendly team. The owner comes out and welcomes you like family and the food is amazing. Definitely on my list of restaurants to return to.

Really a lovely experience made so by the incredibly warm welcome and service. Food and service were excellent.

I arrived without reservation and I was seated promptly (before 7 in the evening on a Wednesday). Everyone from the host to the runner were incredibly polite, friendly, and professional. Server was wonderful in giving dish recommendations and suggesting wine pairings. As I was on a business trip, I attended the restaurant alone which can be disconcerting at times - I could not have felt more welcomed and cared for while enjoying my dinner at Pazzia.

The food was great! Fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. We went with a group and the service was excellent. What stood out to me was our server. I feel terrible that I cannot remember her name, but she was super friendly and very attentive. It's a place I'd definitely go back to!

It's OK, the pasta was correctly cooked and that's all. If you are not Italian food fan, not worth it...

Delicious pizza and pasta! This is one of my fave Italian restaurants, and it never disappoints. The pasta is all handmade and the pizza telling me off what I imagine it to be in Italy, no fuss and all flavor. Would definitely recommend if you haven't been already!
